Do you use Microsoft Office?

Yup, me too.

Did you know there is a critical vulnerability that allows an attacker to install programs, view and delete data on your computer?

Because you use Microsoft Office?

Well here’s how you can fix this problem right now:

  1. Go to Start and search for Command.
  2. When you see this icon, right click it and select ‘Run as Administrator’.
  3. A Command window opens like this. Type this command to backup your registry –  “reg export HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ms-msdt reg-backup-jun2022” – hit Enter.
  4. Then, type this command to patch the vulnerability –  “reg delete HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ms-msdt /f”

When Microsoft does release a patch for this, you can undo this setting by typing this command. “reg import reg-backup-jun2022.reg“

Please be EXTREMELY careful when making changes to your registry.
